State Police Trooper Thomas Clardy
At around 12PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, State Trooper Thomas L. Clardy pulled over a Chevy Tahoe for a routine traffic violation on the Massachusetts Turnpike. When he returned to his car to run the driver's information, he was suddenly hit from behind by a Nissan Maxima. The impact caused traumatic injuries and he was rushed to UMASS Medical Center in Worcester. Sadly, Trooper Thomas Clardy was pronounced deceased shortly after. Trooper Clardy was an 11 year veteran of the Massachusetts State Police and served in the United States Marin Corp. Trooper Clardy is survived by his wife Reisa and the couple's six kids; Tyler, Gabryella, Lilly, Emma, Eva, and Noah.
As soon as we heard about the accident we immediately began to fundraise and accept donations to support the Clardy Family. With the support of Greg’s audience and the community, we were able to raise and donate$137,727 to the Clardy Family.
